Star Of Bethlehem
The Star Of Bethlehem is part of the phylum Anthophyta. The scientific name is Ornithogalum umbellatum. the common name is Star Of Bethlehem. this is my bad plant. It can be found in New England. Some of the facts about this are; it is very poisonous it something eats it, if animals eat this they can get really sick or even die, this plant spreads really fast and easy, they grow near rivers, they are really pretty, they grow to be about 1 ft. tall, people used to sell them, has killed animals before, grow new buds every year, aslo grow in Africa, white.
Venus Fly Trap-Good
The venus fly trap is part of the phylum Anthophyta. The scientific name of the venus is Dionaea muscipula. The common name for this is of course the Venus Fly Trap, It is my good plant. It is found in the southeastern United States of America (North Carolina, South Carolina.) Some of the facts that I found were; It can eat bugs if the bug lands in its mouth, It can also live under water for months if the plant is flooded, Once it gets older it will grow flowers, It has to grow in very humid areas, even if you try to get it to bit you it can not hurt you, But you can tease it because it can only close about seven times in its life, people can also learn alot about carnivorous plants from this, have little hairs in its mouth to know when they bend it closes, some people keep this plant as a "pet", the plants look really awesome, the seeds of this plant are about the size of a period at the end of a sentence, Some of these plants can have red mouths, to kill its catch it fills its mouth up with acid, the plant is also pretty small.

Is the Star of Bethlehem only poisonous if you eat it or does it release a poisonous chemical too?

    1. J. Reilman- Well I found two reasons it is named that, one is that it looks like it is from Venus and the other is not school appropriate so I can not say.
