My good plant that I chose is the Clove tree. They belong to
the Anthophyta phylum, and its scientific name is Syzygium aromaticum, and its genus is Eugenia. They are found in
the Maluku islands in Indonesia. They are used as spices in dishes found all
around the world. It can be anywhere from 26-65 feet tall. Its needs rich soil
and a hot climate to grow properly. If
it tries to grow in an area with standing water, it can’t grow well. The Cloves
are reddish brown in color. They are harvested when the tree is 6 to 8 years
old, and they can only be hand-picked. The pest the stem borer bothers them. If they
dig into the plant, they can dry it out. The bark is a greyish color. It is
said to have a delicious taste, and in history it was used as a form of
medicine which is why it’s good. The
leaves are dark green, with an oval shape. The leaves are glossy.

The plant I chose for my bad plant is the Desert Rose. It belongs to the tracheophyte phylum, and
its name is Adenium obesum and is
commonly found in Africa and Arabia. It
can be 6-12 feet tall, with a greyish color trunk. It has a flower that sprouts and it’s a pinkish
color. These flowers grow on short branches. They grow well which is why they
are used commonly for house plants, but they need plenty of sunlight to grow. Branching
can be induced by pinching tips which can make them easier to control in your
home. Their trunks expand when filled with water, and pests don’t bother them. The
negative about this plant is that all parts of it are poisonous, but are more
poisonous to pets. The sap of the plant is extremely poisonous. The natives of these countries often times
use the sap to create poison tip arrows. This makes the Desert Rose a bad
plant.

They grow better there because they don't need much water to grow.
